Right about 10 years ago was my last post on WordPress. 10 years ago we were saying goodbye to Harry Potter , the housing bubble, the Virginia Tech tragedy, and the introduction of the first iphone. My , a lot has transpired since then. I have not blogged on any other site either, it feels like I have traveled down the Rabbit’s hole. Am I back in reality? Does such a thing exist anymore with all that is going on in this world?
Reality is the state of things as they actually exist, as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them. Reality includes everything that is and has been, whether or not it is observable or comprehensible. A still broader definition includes that which has existed, exists, or will exist.
I must ponder on the terminology of this word a little longer. When I look at the goings and comings of the world today compared to 10 years ago, I feel off kilter a bit. I can better empathize with Johnny Depp’s character in the movie Dark Shadows after he is freed from the coffin he has been a slave to for over a hundred years only to find that thing have vastly changed; leaving him confused, guarded, and suspicious.
How does one pick up where they left off, or do they? If I must start anew what is acceptable theses days? Blogging used to be a means for me to get thoughts out, opinions, points of view, have a debate with friends, politics, religion ect. Everything was okay to talk about with a little couth.
Will I write again only to find myself targeted for using the wrong terminology (i.e. hers, his, hens); for agreeing with the leader of our country one day, and scratching my head the next at something he has done or said; for saying my steak dinner was delicious and I thanked Jesus for providing it Etc. What is going on in the world today? With all the false flags and cover ups and Patsy’s is this really reality? It is something to ponder for sure.
